Our introduction to whitewater. This 5.5 mile stretch of river has more to offer in whitewater excitement and adventure than any other section of the entire Rogue River, and nobody knows it better or provides more fun and safety than Noah’s guides and crew. This trip departs Ashland once a day, seven days a week, when four or more river enthusiasts are ready to go. Guests leave the Ashland area by 10:30 a.m. and return approximately by 3:30 p.m. Private groups and different time schedules can be easily arranged with advance notice. Special family and group rates are also available for your Rogue River rafting adventure.
Upon arrival at the pick up location you will be greeted by one of our guides who will walk you over to our vehicle. You are then shuttled to the river in either a van or bus, this takes about 20-25 minutes from our downtown location. The vehicle you are shuttled in is the same one you will take back to the location you were picked up from, you can either leave your belongings in this vehicle which will be locked the whole time, or you can put items in the dry bags that we provide for every boat. We also provide drinking water on every boat in addition to all the equipment necessary for whitewater rafting. This section of the Rogue is approximately 6 miles and contains class I-IV rapids, you will spend approximately 2.5 hours on the water. At the start of the trip the guides will go over safety and paddle commands, this ensures that you will have a successful day on the river. About halfway through the trip you will get off the river and have a snack. After leaving the snack point you will head towards the two class IV rapids on this section, Nugget Falls and Powerhouse. There are plenty of opportunities between rapids to get out of the boat and do some swimming as well as see some of the great wildlife that Southern Oregon has to offer. Once the rafting has concluded you will be shuttled back to the location you were picked up from. Appropriate for ages 6 and up.
