Disneyland Resort is just off I-5 (Santa Ana Fwy), about 30 miles southeast of Downtown LA. Take the Disneyland Dr exit if you're coming from the north, or the Katella Ave/Disney Way exit from the south.
Arriving at Disneyland Resort is like arriving at an airport. Giant, easy-to-read overhead signs indicate which ramps you need to take for the theme parks, hotels or Anaheim’s streets.
All-day parking at Disneyland Resort costs $20 ($25 for oversize vehicles). Enter the ‘Mickey & Friends’ parking structure from southbound Disneyland Dr, off Ball Rd. Walk outside and follow the signs to board the free tram to Downtown Disney and the theme parks. The parking garage opens one hour before the parks do.
Downtown Disney parking is reserved for diners, shoppers and movie-goers. It has a different rate structure, with the first two hours free, $6 per half-hour thereafter, to a maximum of $36.
Anaheim Resort Transportation operates some 20 shuttle routes between Disneyland and area hotels, convention centers, malls, stadiums and the transit center, saving traffic jams and parking headaches. Shuttles typically start running an hour before Disneyland opens, operating from 7am to midnight daily during summer. Departures are typically two to three times per hour, depending on the route. Purchase single or multiday ART passes at kiosks near ART shuttle stops or online in advance.
Many hotels and motels offer their own free shuttles to Disneyland and other area attractions; ask when booking.
