Tour description provided by Viator

Head out on an Early Morning Wildlife Safari leaving from Estes Park in Rocky Mountain National Park. Each tour is limited to 4 guests and private so each trip is just for you and your group. We will pick you up outside the office of your Estes Park hotel at the time we confirm, usually 4:30am-5am depending on the exact date. Yellow Wood Guiding Wildlife Safaris are driving tours with many stops as we travel across Trail Ridge Road. Our tours are designed to both provide great views of wildlife, but also learn extraordinary information about these amazing animals and the wonderful Rocky Mountain ecosystem.  Nearly every Safari we see Moose cows and sometimes bulls, Elk bulls and cow herds with calves, Mule Deer, Bighorn Sheep on the distant mountains through the spotting scope, Yellow-bellied Marmots, American Pika, and a number of small cute critters only found in the Rockies like Least Chipmunk, Ground Squirrels, many different birds and some hawk & eagles.
After picking you up at your Estes Park Hotel we will head out in the dark so 30 minutes later we can arrive at the top of the world to start seeing Elk and amazing views of the Rockies at daybreak. We will continue on to the western side of Rocky to look for Moose, and usually more views of Elk sometimes right out the window. We will head back up to the top of Trail Ridge and look for Bighorn Sheep and also spot small mammals like the lovable Marmots and Pika that call the tundra home. We can also view waterfalls through the scope. As we wrap the trip we will stop at a few additional overlooks or spend time in the lower meadows looking for birds and other small mammals. Each tour is customized for you, so be sure to share your goals in our communication before confirming the tour. Please note Grizzly Bears and Wolves are not found in Colorado, and Black Bears are extremely rare, we only see a dozen a year usually. Travel in a Premium level Hyundai Santa Fe with panoramic sunroof, heated leather seats, and windows that roll down all the way. Binoculars are available for each person as well as use of a spotting scope to really bring those distant creatures into view.  There are a number of stops where we can use the park restrooms. Tours are limited the 4 guests, and children must be age 12 or up. In the summer time be prepared for temps between 30-70 degrees F, yes 30!  Don't wear shorts, and always bring a jacket.  Also be sure to drink plenty of water both in the days before your trip to Colorado and while your here (4 bottles a day), and for morning tours eat breakfast to prevent altitude sickness. Bring along water and a snack, we will have extra water and granola bars for you as well. National Park entrance permits are not included with the tour, as many guests already have a permit or lifetime pass. If you need they can be purchased at the National Park gate. Most mornings we are in so early guests do not need a permit unless we have an extended moose adventure.
