I see some older posts that allude to being able to rent manual transmission Jeeps in STT but I cannot find a company that currently rents them.

Does anyone know of a company that still rents a manual transmission Jeep or even car?

We are hoping to get some advice from you guys on what you think we should do on our Vacay. We’ve narrowed it down to a 7 day catamaran cruise of the BVI that is shared among other people on the boat and cabin only, but they still have a crewed staff and all inclusive.

The other option is renting a villa on St John for 7 days with a nice view and hot tub or pool and a Jeep rental. We’d need to cook our own food or eat out every day and spend vacay time organizing all that. We’ve been to St…

Feb travel and hurricane damage?

Hello! I'm thinking of planning a last minute trip to St. John this February. I am wondering what lingering damages from the last hurricane season may impact my trip and if many of the Air B&B homes/apartments would have been damaged. I've been reading that tireless work has cleaned up the island from the storms, but I can't tell to what extent tourism has been impacted. Any advice on this or St. John travel in general would be so helpful!! Thank you!

U.S. Virgin Islands Travel Guide

Hi,

I recently spent time exploring the U.S. Virgin Islands of St. Thomas and St. John and have written a travel report which includes photos and information on sight-seeing, transportation, eating out, accommodation, visa requirements and getting there and away.

You can view the report here:

Is a car rental necessary?

I am traveling with 6 friends to St Thomas--is it wiser to rent a car to get around, or use taxis?

Toddler travel to St. John

Hi All - my family (6 adults and one toddler) will be traveling to St. John. I have been there before with just my husband and I so I didn't have to think about how long anything took haha. I am trying to minimize our travel time this go around. We will need to rent a vehicle at some point - whether on St. Thomas or on St. John.

I would love to avoid the whole land, wait for taxi, get in taxi, wait for ferry, get on ferry unload car seat a million times scenario. Is there a service that does…

Four of us are trying to decide if we should go to Nassau or St. Thomas for the first week of January after New Years, the flights cost the same to both so we are looking for advice on which one we should choose.

We are four guys going to celebrate our friends 30th birthday, so we are looking for nice beaches, hopefully some snorkeling, sea kayaking, adventuring, unique experiences, and some night life to enjoy.

Some of us are on a bit of a budget and we are used to staying in hostels so we are…

Which U.S. Virgin Island?

My family and I (wife & 11-yr old daughter) are planning a week-long visit in late July/early August. Leaning towards staying in St. John and renting a small villa. Is this the right island if we want something laid back and the most beautiful beaches in the USVI's? Other than day tripping to beautiful beaches the only other thing we plan on doing is a day trip to the Baths on the BVI of Virgin Gorda. Any recommendations for what part of the island to stay on? Flying into St Thomas and taking…

Work in Caribbean for South African

Hello,

My boyfriend (American) and I (South African cursed with the Green Mamba passport) would like to move to the Caribbean for a couple months. My boyfriend, being American is able to get a job without much of a hassle but I on the other hand will need a visa and/or work permit.
Does anyone have any advice or insight on the matter to help our dream adventure come true?
I am really struggling to get the right info on visas etc.
Any help is needed
Much appreciated,
Chelsea
