This Dubai-based outdoor adventure company offers assorted activities exploring the jagged contours of the coastal mountains on Dibba's Omani side. There's hiking, biking and rock climbing as well as deep-water soloing (sea-cliff rock climbing) and camping on Dibba beach. Along with private trips, the company organises regular group excursions (usually on Fridays). Check the Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/absoluteadventureuae) for trip announcements.
The popular Secret Staircases and Aqaba–Lima hikes are great introductions to the Musandam Peninsula's stark, beguiling beauty; both are suitable for kids. The Secret Staircases trail heads inland to the mountains, traversing rock-cut stairs to abandoned ridgetop villages with terraced fields once used by farmers, plus ancient petroglyphs. The Aqaba–Lima trail starts with a boat ride to the trailhead before following a series of ledges and rock-cut stairs up to another abandoned mountain village with craggy coastal scenery the entire way.
All activities should be booked two days beforehand so that the required Dibba entry permits can be organised.
