As Adventure Tours in Ukraine we invite you for a 2-day journey around an area, where a 1-day trip is simply not enough.  We offer you a chance to spend the last few days of 2018 wondering around the mysterious Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, abandoned in 1986 after a nuclear disaster at the Power Plant, with consequences still echoing today around various parts of our planet. We will provide you with interesting and easily comprehensible scientific background to explain why is the Zone safe and officially open for visits. We'll show examples of radiation types and levels using a dosimeter to measure the radiation around us. You'll be surprised to find out how high the levels of radiation are in some locations of the world, densely inhabited by people.
Our English-speaking guide will do much more than just walk you through the ruins. He will take you for a fully immersive trip back in time, unraveling facts and rumors along the route, as well as real-life stories from back in the day. Stories that can be still read in the handwritten notes scattered around the Zone. Once prosperous, this land was struck by the sadly famous disaster 32 years ago when the explosion partially destroyed Unit No.4 of the worldʼs third biggest Nuclear Power Plant in those days. For years the story was shrouded in mystery, raising more questions and concerns than providing answers. Today however, many years after the abandonment, this huge area is full of prospering wildlife, and post-apocalypse admirers from all around the world direct their steps to the much famous places, such as the Ghost-Town of Prypiat and the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant with the New Safe Confinement (a.k.a. the Sarcophagus), securing leftovers from the explosion deep inside the enormous shining arch, successfully protecting us from the deadly legacy. ____________________________________ IMPORTANT!
