Day 1: Kampala-Kibale National Park Leave Kampala after breakfast for the fascinating drive through papyrus swamps and thick jungle of the Nile Delta to Kibale National Park just under the Ruwenzori Mountains. Afternoon guided walk in the crater lakes area. Overnight at Chimpanzee Guest house Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking Kibale In the morning you will have breakfast to transfer to Kibale Head quarters for briefing before setting off for a forest walk in search for chimpanzees. The forest walk will be guided to provide information not only on chimpanzees and primates but also on small organisms making it interesting. In the afternoon you will go for a nature walk to the Bigodi swamp- to see unique flora and fauna. Overnight at Chimpanzee Guest house Day 3: Kibale National Park – Queen Elizabeth Park Start with Lake Nyabikele & Lake Nkuruba. Lake Nkuruba Nature Reserve is well known as the best place to photograph colobus monkeys in Uganda.Afternoon drive south into Queen Elizabeth National Park, sightseeing and game viewing enroute. Dinner and overnight at Buffalo Safari Resort Day 4: Queen Elizabeth Park Dawn game drive in Uganda’s best park, where all the big game can be seen in abundance. Famous for elephant and kob, expect to see some rarer animals like giant forest hog. There are 638 recorded bird species in the park! After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which connects Lakes Edward and George, for large numbers of buffalo and hippo. Overnight at Buffalo Safari CampDay 5: Queen Elizabeth- Bwindi Forest Today's drive and visit to the bat Cave close to Maramagambo forest. Proceed and make a game drive at Ishasha on your way to Bwindi in search of the tree climbing lions. Later, drive to Bwindi via the beautiful scenery of the tea plantations. This is the lushest highland rain forest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds.Overnight at Rushaga Gorilla CampDay 6: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking Early morning cup of coffee, then prepare for the briefing from the Uganda wildlife officials and thereafter enter the jungle to search the shy mountain gorillas and enjoy their life style in their real home. After meeting the gorillas, you can sit around these great apes for a whole hour gazing into their big round eyes. Overnight at Rushaga Gorilla CampDay 7: Bwindi – Kampala/Entebbe Return to Kampala, then Entebbe via Mbarara to Igongo Cultural Village to explore the life style and the culture of the Ankole and Bahima people.

Itinerary
