December to April is high season in TCI, with warm, dry and settled weather coinciding with the annual humpback migration. Accommodations are at their most expensive, especially over the winter holidays.
Major US holidays, such as spring break for college students (March or early April), are generally the busiest times in the islands.
The spiny lobster, number one on many tourists' dining wish list, is prohibited on menus between April and July.
Hurricane season is officially between June and November, with the severest storms typically threatening from August to October. Some tourist businesses may close for a number of weeks during this period, although those that remain open offer significantly cheaper accommodations.
