Turks & Caicos in

Three Days

Spend your first day in Grace Bay on Providenciales, lazing on the famous expanse of sand and checking out the bars and restaurants. Wake up early on day two for a stand-up paddleboard excursion to 'Iguana Island' – Little Water Cay – then an afternoon learning to kiteboard on Long Bay Beach. Day three is more relaxed: take a tour to North Caicos to see the ruins of Wade's Green Plantation and to kayak through East Bay Islands Reserve.

One Week

Extra time brings the historic islands of Grand Turk and Salt Cay into play. Fly to Grand Turk and spend a day on each (connections permitting) visiting the National Museum and Grand Turk's lighthouse, and the many relics of the days when salt and trade sustained these islands. The extensive reefs make for great diving, and you may be lucky enough to see humpback whales as they swim close to shore, on their migration south (around February and March).
