Bakırcılar Sokak

Black Sea Coast

Half a dozen metal-craft shops are closely ranged down a stretch of lane that has been home to coppersmiths for centuries. The one at number 11 is particularly atmospheric, with older work and a few guns on display, but these days its rare to find craftsmen actually tapping away in situ.

The street parallels Orta Çarşı, just south of Cumhuriyet Caddesi.
