Anemos means 'wind' in Turkish, and this hotel certainly brought the winds of change to Gökçeada. It's responsible for introducing the concept of the boutique hotel and has attracted clients from the mainland who would previously have headed to style-setting Bodrum for their vacations. Ground-floor basic rooms are smallish; standards are spacious; and superiors are large (some have private terraces). All are well appointed.
Views from the expansive pool terrace are utterly gorgeous; service is excellent; and meals made with locally grown organic produce are available. The breakfast buffet is lavish and delicious.
Anemos Hotel is set in a peaceful area with a stone building, between the wide fields and hills of Gokceada. The hotel offers an outdoor pool in its green garden and modern rooms with free Wi-Fi. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, minibar and satellite TV. Some rooms of Anemos feature a private balcony with views of the surrounding hills or a patio opening out to the garden. The à la carte restaurant serves local and international cuisine. Delicious Mediterranean dishes, fresh fish, meat, mezes and vegetarian food can be enjoyed with a glass of wine. The ferry port is 7 km from Hotel Anemos, offering easy access to Canakkale by a scenic boat trip. Guests can also visit Yildiz Bay with a 15-minute walk. Gokceada Airport is 4 km away.
Extra beds and cots should be requested in advance in the observations field on the reservations page.
