How easy is it to island hop between Trinidad and Tobago - how long and how much does a boat cost?
Also how easy is it to get from Trinidad to Venezuela? Do Australian's need a visa?
What are the roads like in Trinidad? Is renting a car a good way to travel there?
Looking for some general recommendation and ideas off how to split my time in Tobago, what not to miss etc.
Travelling with my partner in march with a rather low budget and car rentals do seem expensive. So maybe just for 2-3days if needed. Any recommendations for cars?
4 Days : Castara. day trip english bay?
1.5 days Crown point
For the chilled time we settled with 4 nights at castara, where the beach seems to a high standard and the area having more of a local…
I am going with my brother for new years, brining in 2018. He is a bit hesistent to go reading all these fearmongering posts about robberies etc. we are from nyc & travel all over the world.
I just want to know where should we get an airbnb. Where to party at night and meet cool local people women etc.
How readily available is uber at night from the places to party at. We are just basically going there to have fun, party & live life. Thanks a lot!
It looks like Lonely Planet doesn't print a guidebook just on Trinidad & Tobago, so I'm looking for recommendations. Which is better, Rough Guide or Footprint? Or is T&T sufficiently covered in LP's Caribbean guide (most recent edition in 2011, but a new guide coming out this November)?
We are a couple looking for an itinerary and recommendation(and accommodation) for things to do 9 fulldays with a low to mid budget in mind.
Ideally 50 usd per day pp and not more than 70.
Interested in discovering scenic beaches, good food, the local culture, interacting and meeting people and chilling at a nice yet not expensive place near/by a beach. We like diving(any good?) and snorkeling too! Not too crazy with museums, monuments, birds and typical touristy tours of random sights. but if…
Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) is heading to Trinidad and Tobago in a couple of weeks. I would like some help with our itinerary. Is it realistic? Too aggressive/not enough? I would appreciate any advice and insight!
Day 1 (Sunday; POS-Tobago): Arrive in Port of Spain just after midnight. Tuck into a hotel near the airport (any recommendations? I'm looking at Airport Inn) and go to sleep.
Wake up and fly to Tobago. Lunch and drinks at Pigeon Point. Go to Buccoo to experience some of the…
I'll be in Trinidad for a few days and am struggling to find somewhere to base myself. Does it make sense to stay in Port of Spain and do day trips? Seems like the only real budget options are around there. Is public transport ok? Any tips on the must-see sights in Trindad would be awesome! Thanks
Single male travelling to Trinidad and Tobago. 10 days, want a combination if culture, food and beach time.
1 with 10 days, 5 days in the capital with day trips and another 5 days in Tobago to do the beach thing?
2. I don't have a car and will not be renting one, is it easy to get around the island by public transportation?
3. What would be a nice resort town to linger, relax, good food, rustic, not all glitzy massive resorts ?
Hey all, I just moved into an apartment for carnival and will stay until Feb 28th. I'd like to rent out one of the 2 bedrooms so I don't have to stay by myself. It is only equipped with a bed. The apartment itself is located in Woodbrook and everything is accessible in walking distance (grocery, ATM, avenue etc.). The kitchen and living/dining room would be shared. The rate is 1000 tt $ from today until Feb 28th.
You can call me on 382-4357
There appear to be a few posts but very few responses. Are there really no hostels or cheap accommodation? If I go, it will be for a week, second week of March. Any ideas for rooms/dorms?
