This is a walking tour to experience historical and traditional spots in Tokyo. You will visit Tsukiji fish market and feel the immense energy of the people. You'll enjoy the atmosphere of the Shogun's garden at Hamariky and experience the religious aspect of Japan at Sensoji-temple
Though so-called Tsuikiji Fish Market has moved to the new location, the outer market still has active atmosphere of fish market. People are enjoying shopping and eating sea foods , fruits and some Japanese sweets. First we will waik around many small shops in this outer market. Also your guide will take time for eating sushi there, if you would like (sushi i not included in the tour price). Then, you will stroll around the quiet Japanese garden constructed in 18th century by Tokugawa Shoguns and observe an interesting duck hunting site, while enjoying the unique contrasting landscape of the traditional garden and skyscrapers. And you can enjoy Japanese traditional Macha tea and confection at a tea house(fee is not included). After cruising on the Sumida River that is the mother river of Tokyo, the final spot you will visit is Asakusa, a historical and religious place. Walking through the oldest and energetic shopping street leading to Sensoji Temple, built in the 7th century, you will see a deeply religious side of Japanese culture. You will find find some differences between Buddhism and Shintoism at the Asakusa shrine located next to the temple. Also you'll get a chance to try tasting some sweet samples and find souvenirs after visiting the temple. Itinerary (Subject to change): 1. You will be picked up around 8:30am from your hotel. 2. Tsukiji Outer Market (No tuna auction) 3. Hamarikyu Garden 4. Water Bus Ride (from Hamarikyu to Asakusa about 50 minutes) 5. Asakusa: Sensoji Temple 6. You will be dropped off at your hotel at around 2pm.
