Zagreb to Sarajevo TrainCountry forums / Eastern Europe & the Caucasus / Croatia
Hello, I am due to travel from Zagreb to Sarajevo next month, but have seen the news of the flooding in Bosnia, and thought it would be best to look into other options to get there. Somebody has suggested going back through Croatia. Has anyone got any advice on where is best to go? Would it be best to go back down to Split and then get a train/bus from Split to Sarajevo, or would there be somewhere better to pick the bus or train up from? Any information would be great. Many thanks!
Zagreb- Sarajevo s definately out at the moment, it is impossible to travel this way as the area directly between these two cities is completely devastated. Split- Sarajevo is fine :) | 1
Trains are not driving at the moment, but almost all bus routes between Zagreb and Sarajevo are operating already. Considering that you will come next month, hopefully everything will be fine and even trains could be operating normally. When exactly are you coming? | 2
Trains are not the best option for travel in Croatia or Bosnia and Herzegovina, a bus lines are ok, and not so expensive. | 3
