Wild Camping Lorestan and Kurdistan-safe?

Hi, I will be cycling through Lhorestan and Khurdistn in May and wanted to ask if anyone has wild camped in these regions in the mountains . Is it safe as I've heard there are wild animals i.e. bears, leopards, wolves in these mountains, anyone info etc…thanks

Wouldn't you be far more worried about a possible threat from the human kind? Bandits, thieves, drug runners, irate landowners, etc...?? Than from animals that are nearly extinct in the region????

I wasn't aware that there would be any bandits , drug runners in the Zagros? Have you some experience/knowledge of the region? Never heard of that...
