Which area to stay for bioluminescence sighting (Bali)

I've never seen them before, so I'm planning to spend couple of nights in area where I can take a short trip to see them light up. Do you guys know which area would be the best? I found a thread in TA forum and one person mentioned about PadangBai, and another person mentioned about Lovina. But the third person said he is a frequent visitor to Lovina but has never seen them there. So I'm confuse.

Hi I am originally Indonesian but not in Bali.
As I know bioluminesence is in Gili Trawangan lombok near from Bali.
But I haven't gone there yet.

It's Padang Bai & some nights are better than others. The few times I was there sadly, it wasn't to be.

I guess they are just like any other nature events...unpredictable. Thank you all for your input!
