where to stay in koh lanta - most happening/buzzing partCountry forums / Thailand / Thailand
Guys, Having done a fair bit of research i'm still none the wiser of where to stay in Koh Lanta. I know its not a nightlife scene out there and its the part of our trip ( 2 lads) where we will be mostly relaxing but i still want to be in the most happening/buzzing part with some good bars/partys with a vibe its not clear whether that is Long Beach or whether its in Khlong khong beach! I will be there early to mid feb for a few nights any insight from people who have been before would be most helpful Thanks
Not really applicable to Lanta. It's all pretty quiet, about chilling, snorkel and dive sites. The nearest you'll get to your quest will be Pra Ae (Long Beach). Peak period for 3 weeks over New Year, then it empties out. You'll find that's the nearest you'll get to a party-scene. All the other beaches are quieter still, so don't move to find more life, it won't happen! | 1

Long Beach is your best bet.... the area around Chill Out House is the best. Khlong khong has parties but they are more low key & it's a rocky beach - need a scooter if staying there - that's where I am - rented a room in a house long term for 150 baht a night. http://www.lovelanta.com/whats-on | 3
