Where is it sunny and not rainy in September?Interest forums / Gap Year & Round the World Travel
Am looking to travel Sep to mid Oct....somewhere I can get a tan, preferably cheap! Please help xxxxxxxxxx
Mind boggles - Ghana, Togo, Benin, Kenya, Congo, Portugal, Spain, SE Turkey, Bulgaria Ukraine Georgia,Armenia, Iran. Possibility of rain, or coolness in EE at times especially at night. Failing that why not go round the corner for a spray job? | 1
Where are you based? If you're in the UK or Europe then package holidays to sunny destinations like the Canary Islands, Cyprus, Egypt etc. are cheap. From Australia, the list of suitable low-cost places will obviously read very differently. | 2
Can't believe OP lives in Australia. She wouldn't be looking for a tan otherwise. Come dear lady & put us out of our misery. Where in the world do you reside? My guess is you're you're a Brit :-) | 3
Do you plan to get this tan in some kind of RTW fashion? A day on this country's beach and a day on that country's beach etc. I mean why ask this dumb question on the RTW branch? Planning an around the Equator trip? | 4
I am aussie....staying in Scotland until August for the festival want to be home in Melbourne by October for my birthday, the races, christmas ect....and cannot go home not looking tanned, a little bit vain but oh well its my life! Sorry call me ditzy but dont see the point of travelling if it is not in sunny weather.....spent january in berlin and prague and vowed never to travel again if its not warm enough to enjoy :) I dont mind where I go, I'll try anywhere once.....just want it to be sunny when i am there! | 5
Ah. Puzzle solved. Mind at rest :-) Scotland even gets some sunshine sometimes - If you try hard you might be able to migrate into off white as a start by the time you leave. At that time of year most of middle to south Europe though is ok, but if you want beach try Latvia or Bulgaria will be quite cheap. In Latvia the resorts have cheap chalets that you can rent. In Bg keep away from the resorts like Sunny Beach/Golden Sands as they will be expensive. Places like Varna and Bourgas are nice cities on the seaside. Lots of possibilities there. | 6
Ditzy is hardly the word I would use. You vowed to stick to sunny weather then promptly went to Scotland. You say you will be there till August but posted another question asking, "Have a friend staying in Cyprus for the month of June and am thinking of joining her for the month then embarking on my own little tour of the Mediterranean - specifically Turkey, Greece and Croatia." It seems you not only didn't know it wasn't likely to be all that sunny in Scotland, but you don't know June comes before August. Now you are asking where is it sunny in September. It seems you haven't any knowledge of world weather. Obviously, you are far beyond ditzy. | 7
#7 thats a bit harsh isnt it - all the lady is asking is where would you recommend to go in September for good weather. ok she could have asked it in a better way. The Greek islands are still pretty good around september OR would you not fly to SEA for a month before going home to melbourne?? Its pretty cheap and you could probably get a better deal flying to SEA then onto melbourne rather than a package holiday to greece and then onto melbourne from england. | 8
No, I don't think it's a bit harsh. I think it's pretty mild considering the circumstances. She has even posted this same question twice on the same branch and I don't mean an inadvertent duplication. How bright is that? | 9
im sorry i have a few options, is that wrong? in scotland to make money not for the weather....i dont know where in the UK i would go for sunny weather? if you know please advise :) i thought these forums were about finding out info about different things? I didnt realise there was some rule that you could only have one idea on where you might do??? im very indecisive....was supposed to go to thailand in january and a week before my flight booked one to south america and went there instead....so excuse me if i ask questions about different places while im still figuring out what i want to do....heres an idea....how about you dont answer if it annoys you? thanks on the advice about SAE....have already been there though so want to see somewhere new :) | 10
I think that your question is a valid one :-) In your situation, I might be tempted to go into a travel agent and take pot luck ... ask them to find you a cheap deal for somewhere, anywhere sunny, during your time frame, and see what they come up with. | 11
#10. Your question originally threw everybody but so what? You explained it afterwards. Don't be put off. | 12
Australia. Some of SEA, but then, weather is weird these days and can always be unpredictable. | 13
Possibly South Africa and some parts of South America. | 14
"Where is it sunny and not rainy in September?" How about trying to Google for world climate. Or taking a grade 5 Geography class. | 15
BP, go take a Xanax and quit being such a grouch. I think you use the TT just to beat up on people. Get over yourself....again..... | 16
Saraki #15 in my opinion is a lot more than a grouch. He is an intensely sad, bitter man in need of help. Maybe his constant attacks on people do indeed reflect a subconscious call for help. He should take heed of the many people who have objected to his behaviour, reflect on this and hopefully seek psychological therapy for his problem. | 17
Go to sunny Spain !!! we go travelling every Sept/Oct and the weather is always beautiful then. | 18
