where can I find a long term rental in kisumu?

Hi Everyone,

I'll be living and working in Kisumu for the next 7 months and am looking for rental accomodation in Kisumu. The papers don't list anything and I'm new to town so I'm not sure where to start my search. I"m on my own, so don't need a huge place (so an appartment is ok), but it has to be secure and have at least some modern conveniences - furnished would be a plus. Anyways, if anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Renting in Kisumu can be very difficult. I rented a house from February 2006 through to April 2007 and was very lucky to find anything near the sort of budget I had initially set aside. Mr and Mrs Pabari have two different properties they rent out, one near Russian Hospital and the other in Milimani. The Russian Hospital property is much cheaper than the Milimani house, but I can't find anything about it online...
