What to do by oneself...

Holla,

Planning on travelling alone during the European summer (only for a week or two) and was hoping to explore the Italian Amalfi coast.
Does anyone have any suggestions/comments/advice on where would be best to stay (e.g. Sorrento, Ravello?) as a base whilst I do a couple of days looking around.

Also, suggestions/comments/advice is welcome on any sort of 'alone' travel i.e. places to see, things to do.
I like my independence so I'm not necessarily looking for a loud tour group or fellow gappies.. just need some suggestions

Sorrento is fine as a base,though it is not the greatest as a destination ;-)

Ravello is smaller,nicer,more expensive and less good as a transport base (assuming you are using public transport?)

I suggest you do/see what interests you. I have no idea what that is.
