After a temperature drop of about 25 degrees, the snow limit in the Swiss Alps fell below 1000 m in the Bernese Oberland (Grindelwald, Murren, etc. in the snow), at 1400-1700 m in the Cantons of Valais and Ticino and at 2000-2500 m in neighbouring Aosta Valley.
