Visa needed to transit at Singapore?

Country forums / South-East Asia Islands & Peninsula / Singapore

I am arriving to Singapore with an Indigo flight from Delhi, and I need to collect my bags, enter the terminal, and check in to another flight with Tiger airways to Perth. My question is do i need to a prepare a visa beforehand, or at the airport, they just let me enter on the spot with a transit visa? I will be a transit passanger, and i have to wait at the Singapore airport 3 hours for my flight. I have the Canadian passport, and the onward return to Perth.

You will be granted a social visit pass free of charge upon prensenting your Canadian passport at SIN immigration, then collect your bags and clear customs.
Then proceed to the budget terminal via the free shuttle bus from terminal 2 basement.
Couldn't be easier, no visa required.

What u will need is a valid visa for Australia.

Hi! My lay over flight is 21 hours, I plan to roam around the city. Would I need transit visa to do that?

I have a Philippine passport with residence visa from the UAE. Just wanted to make sure. Thanks

Hello

Similar situation as travelling_porcupine above. Landing from Delhi to Singapore on Jet and need to move to Air Asia terminal to go to Bali. Do I need a transit visa? I have an indian passport and a valid US visa.
