how do i obtain a visa for cambodia???

It might depend on your passport, but most people get VOA for $US20. You can buy online for $US25 - takes about 3 days. Where will you enter?

The most basic question that you could possibly ask because your too lazy to read a guidebook, google, read back on this TT, or basically do anything.

3

At the Cambodian visa shop of course!
Google for nearest location

4

How do you get out of bed in tyhe morning?

5

Next question from the bonehead will be, how do U book a flight...

6

Not sure where you are from so check here for visa information.

I also have a question regarding this. Where can you get a visa for Cambodia in HCMC? And how long will it take?
I know you can get one at certain crossings, but we haven't decided our exact itinerary yet. are looking into crossing from ha tien border (e-visa and VOA both no option - right?). Since we'll be travelling with 2 small kids, lingering at some border crossing without the right forms/visa is not something to look forward to.
Is it maybe even possible to get a cambodian visa on Phu Quoc?

thanks

I dont see why you can't just roll up to the border, and pay $20 each for your visas, its doesn't take long, bring some passport photos. As for Phuo Quoc, maybe a travel agent can arrange a visa there, there certainly won't be a consulate on the island, and you'll have to pay a fair bit more for this service.

For Hankor

You are saying it IS possible to get a visa at the ha tien border?
Because even official cambodian websites disagree with you then...
sorry, I'm lost

you can get one on arrival, at the embassy or online. for details and pros and cons of each method take a look at http://bakpak.wordpress.com/2007/12/19/cambodia-visa/

hopefully this won't be seen as such a stupid question, i just want confirmation really.

do you need documentation of your police record when applying for visas?
i'm figuring that once it's just a vistor's visa it's not necessary and i haven't found it listed on any information i've found, but just to be sure.

thanks.

Huh? You need a passport with at least 6 months validity, a passport size photo and US$20. No other documentation is required (unless you happen to be from one of the very few countries on which Cambodia places special requirements - Afghanistan; Algeria; Bangladesh; Iran; Iraq; Pakistan; Saudi Arabia; Sri Lanka; and Sudan.)

15

I thought these countries that you mention need a visa beforehand and cannot get one on arrival in any case.

True. Lemonhead was not specific about whether he was talking about visa on arrival or applying at an embassy overseas. But, yes, those nationalities cannot get visas on arrival and will be subject to special documentation requirements when applying for a visa at their local Cambodian embassy.

thanks a million for that.
i am starting my trip in korea and then onto vietnam and will have my vietnamese visa before i leave home (Ireland). The rest I intend to apply for from the various relevant neighbouring countries.
thanks again.

No need to apply for a Cambodian visa in a neighboring country. You can get a visa on arrival at the international airports in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap and at most overland border crossings.
