Vietnam e-visa for land border crossings

Hello all! I will be entering Vietnam from Cambodia at the Ha Tien border crossing and am trying to figure out the best way to obtain an e-visa for a land border crossing. All of the e-visa third party providers I'm finding only offer their services for airport entry, and I'm not finding another online option. If I can't find one, I suppose I'll need to get it from an embassy, but I'm wondering how long that will take. It also looks like the embassy option would be more expensive.

I'm a little skeptical about e-visa validity at land crossings overall, since Vietnam seems to be quite uptight about visa requirements, so I'm also looking for the safest bet.

Does anyone have experience with this? Thanks in advance!

As far as I know, the VOA is used for airport arrival in Ha Noi, Danang, and HCMC. https://www.vietnamonlinevisas.org

Or you can go to the embassy or consulate.

If I am wrong, please correct me. For whatever reason, websites will do one or the other.

Yes it is official and it does work, I've used it and many others.
The ageny type visas you were looking at do not allow entry by land on the first trip.
Some nationaliaties also have visa free entry so be sure to check.

Vietnamonlinevisas.org is a scam site. They charge a 64 US hidden fee on top of 25 US application fee then don't deliver Visa. I can only get generic replies back from them and from reading other reviews from them online it seems to be a standard story.
They are based in Barcelona.
Avoid and go to government site - my friends applied same time as me and got theirs in two days.

I'm currently on the bus on my way to the Vietnam border form Cambodia. The bus company associate asked if I already had a visa and I showed her my evisa. She went on to say their would be a $20 processing fee pior to getting to the border through the bus company people. I said I wouldn't pay that because the whole reason for getting an evisa was to avoid the border hassle. So then she said I'll have to go with her during our lunch stop to process or...that's crazy. This all sounds like a scam to me

The $20 processing fee IS a ripoff! Most/many bus companies charge $5. BUT, if you don't want to pay a processing fee then, of course, you have to do it YOURSELF. Going with the associate is how that's done unless you are familiar with the border layout and KNOW where to go.
Always check with the bus company about any extra fees before you book.
