Hi I will be in Zambia and will visit Victoria falls.
as a previous post from around june says that you get a better overvieuw from zimbabwe, does anyone know whether the prices I mention are correct thanks | 1
I think the entrance fee is 20$ but I don't know about the 24h visa... | 2
Hi Best view is from the Zambian side but to get really close and experience the full tour, you have to be on the Zimbabwean side. | 3
Unfortunately there is NO 24 hr visa to enter Zimbabwe (these were discontinued Oct last year), only to enter Zambia, thus you will need a full Zim visa on entry, and either a double entry ($80) or a new single ($50) visa to return to Zambia. The price of the Zim visa depends on your country, and is subject to change without notice, note that some nationals cannot get a visa at the border, and thus have to get before travel. | 4
Termak, you have it the wrong way round - the path on the Zimbabwe side runs along the top of the gorge, with great views of the falls and the rainbow effect you may have seen in guide books. What a shame though, that they're being so daft about the visas. You'd think that both countries would rather have the extra tourist dollars than have people visit just one side. What has happened with the bungee jumping, it used to be right in the middle of the bridge between Zam & Zim? | 5
Hi the bungee jump is still there, you can get a pass from the border post each side to go to the jump, just tell them thats where you want to go, some take the risk and use the pass to go "over the other side" for a few hours, but of course you still need the visa to enter, but use the pass to get back. | 6
