Van Travel Recommendations in Mexico

Hey there, were looking to buy a van and travel through Mexico and SA. Can anyone help with recommendations on where to stop or a suggested route in Mexico? Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

A very popular route through Mexico is to start from the north and then head south.

Emily, come on...You do not state if you want to buy a van in Mexico or where ever, where you will cross, what nationality you are, your timeframe, your budget, nothing but you want suggestions, here is mine...
buy a guide book with a map of Mexico, read it and find places that interest you....Remember it will cost lots of money to ship the van from Panama to Columbia, no roads through the Darian Gap.........good luck

There are still a lot of old Volkswagen vans on the road here. Nissan and Toyota vans are often used for collective transport, but Merceds Benz Sprinters are the latest vans to hit the road.
