| deathripple115:50 UTC21 Apr 2010 | hi there,
I'm wondering if there is a direct flight from Uzbekistan to Iran. I only have a couple of weeks and I really want to make the most of them. I'm considering skipping entirely Turkmenistan since it takes so much time to issue a damn transit visa.

I was looking at that route as well to avoid the Turkmenistan transit visa hassle. I could find no other airline or route. Try looping through Afghanistan. Cross from Termez to Mazar, fly to Herat, bus to Mashad. The Afghan visa is easy to get. Mazar and Herat are relatively quiet.
