About to spend 9 days in Yunnan Province with 1 gig SD card and 5.2 megapixel Cannon Camera. We'll be going to Xishaubanna, Lijiang, and Shangri-la. Was wondering the best means for uploading my photos once my card gets full. If I bring my camera cord will I be able to hook it up to another computer via USB? If worse comes to worse, can I just purchase another SD card? Thanks for your advice!

It would take a long time i'd think. Uploading is still not reliable as most places don't have fast enough internet to do this.
Best to get it the photos copied to 2 CDs or a DVD or buy another card i reckon.

| drdavidknibb13:49 UTC03 Jul 2007 | SD cards are now so cheap that it must make sense to take several with you - so when the one you are using gets full you've got a new one at once. Then you can take your time to find a store where you can upload them. Ther's no reason not to carry a few extra. Just make sure you have a clear tag system for identifyinbg used cards from unused ones.
