Unrest in Egypt to affect flights??Country forums / Africa / Egypt
Hi guys, I've got a connecting flight going through Cairo in late September. I had not even really considered that the unrest in Egypt might affect flights until a friend told me she hoped I'd still be able to fly... Do you think there is ground for worry? Thanks in advance
transit flights are not affected by security problem. | 1
At the moment, you wouldn't have problems to make it. In the future, who knows what will happen? | 2
....... the Airport should be secure, its strategically important to the "government", its security of the up-most importance. However, there's always a chance of an attack by a desperate and determined individual, might come from within the ranks of the security forces, as it did when President Sadet was assassinated. | 3
Thanks for the input guys! I'll keep my fingers corssed | 4
I transited through Cairo yesterday on my way back home from Sharm and there are no issues whatsoever. | 5
