Uganda visa: passport must be valid for another year?

I'm planning to visit Uganda, and get a visa on arrival in Entebbe. Some web sites say that for Uganda your passport must be valid for another year, others say 6 months.

My passport will be valid for only another 9 months when I arrive. I was wondering if I will be refused entry because of this when I arrive at the Uganda border?
