UAE visa for Czech Citizen

We plan to stay in Dubai for about 30 hours. As a Czech citizen, my partner needs a visa, and the transit visa looks to be the best option. What is the procedure for getting this visa, and how much will it cost? There seems to be a lot of conflicting information around.

The best option is to take it through an airline. Air Arabia has a 3 day transit visa which is quick and easy. I believe Emirates requires you to book into a hotel before issuing a transit visa - which could be expensive.

Alternately, if you know someone in Dubai whose company can sponsor your partner's transit visa (you just have to pay the cost), that is the quickest option
