Tulcea -- Information about accomodations, restaurants, sights

Wife and I live in Varna Bulgaria. We are considering a 3-4 day trip north to the Danube Delta and the city of Tulcea. Any information abut Tulcea would be appreciated...especially hotels. Tennis courts, swimming pools, saunas, etc. do not interest us. Nature and birding is our thing.

Tulcea is mainly a starting point for trips into the Delta, it's not particularly interesting place in itself (at least not compared with the rest of the Delta).
