| altenniscourt10:13 UTC26 Aug 2009 | Hi, I am planning on leaving tomorrow with my Mongolian friend Uuganaa to a vist his home village in the Altai region. We are going to leave by bus tomorrow unless we can find some more people to go with us.
It would be really nice to take a jeep because then we could stop more often and see more things on the way, but for only two people it is very expensive to travel this way. With two more people, the price for a jeep would be just about the same.
We plan on spending between two and three weeks on the trip, but our itinerary is flexible. We want to make lots of stops and see lots of things on the way. We also want to spend some time out in nature, and of course spend some time with Ooganaa's family.
The costs will be about 50,000/day for a jeep plus petrol divided between however many people we can find to go. We will buy food and rent horses, etc. along the way.
