Trekking the Pinatubo crater lake in Philippines

How can a natural disaster sight be so scenic and beautiful? That was the thought that ran through my head when I trekked through the Crow's valley, to get to the surreal landscape of the Pinatubo crater lake, which covers a still active volcano.
