Trekking from Dodola into the Bale National Park

We want to extend a 3-4 day trek in the Dodola and Adaba area and walk East into the Bale National Park, preferably towards the Harenna Forest. The Baletrek.com is not very clear whether this is possible.

Also we are a bit nervous of the heat in the Danakil - we are from Scotland and not used to anything above about 20C or so! Will we survive?!?

At this time of year, the temperature is easily bearable. I was in Danakil 3 weeks ago & the hottest was 36C at the salt mining. This is a dry heat, though; little humidity & there was a light breeze as the salt flats are very wide open. You will climb the volcano in the evening & return early morning, so no heat issues there, just don't fall in!
