travelling on a budget

Dear travellers

I'd like to visit Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan between July and September. Is it still ok for most of the trekking till September? Can anyone let me know the prices for a guide to trek for about a week in both countries please and also what the budget will be per day? I think I will also be needing a porter, right?

Will 30euros a day be enough for all the trip?

For Kyrgyzstan, check out CBT tours start at around 30 Euros/day, but get a lot more expensive depending on what you want to do.

Tajikistan tends to be more expensive all around. Not only trekking, but transport as well

Thanks! What about lodging and food? Are these expensive? Maybe comparable say to countries like Thailand... which is more expensive than India but less expensive than say Peru?
