Travelling in South KoreaCountry forums / North-East Asia / South Korea
Hi everyone! My name is Emma and I'm currently travelling in South Korea together with my friend Moa. We are right now in Pusan, does anyone have tips on where to stay or what do do/see in or around this city? And also, does anyone have any experience on going to Japan by ferry from Pusan? I think we'd prefer going with some kind of organized tourist group with an English speaking guide since we really don't know anything about Japan. What could it cost? Thirdly, does anyone have any experience on going to Jejudo from Pusan? Do we need to book the ferry in advance? Any tips on Jejudo? And finally, we haven't planned where to go after Jejudo, so does anyone have any ideas? :) Thanks a lot! Best regards, Emma
Gwanggalli Beach is great, better than Haeundae. Best part of the beach is the Millak Town Raw Fish Center (민락타운 회 센터), where you can choose your fish on the first floor, and then have it prepared and eat it at the corresponding restaurant on any of the upper floors. Also, visit Haedong Yonggungsa, a seaside temple. You can get there by taking bus #181 from Haeundae Station, for about W1000. For a place to stay in Busan, the Actor and Tourist Guesthouse (http://www.actourist.com/ko/) is nice... I've stayed there two times with no complaints. | 1
Hello! My husband and I were in South Korea last summer and loved it! In Busan we stayed at the Haotel Motel - it was cheap, clean and very nice. The link is to our blog entry about it and includes directions and photos. We didn't make it down to Jeju, so I can't help you there, but there are many wonderful places to see in Korea! If you're interested, here are our pictures of Korea. Happy Travels! Wendy Sewell | 2
