What is the best way of getting from Queenstown to Christchurch? All the tour buses start fom Christchurch!

A quick look brought up nakedbus.com which has a Queenstown to Christchurch bus for $49 leaving at 8.30am and arriving 4:30pm tomorrow.

I didn't check how often they go but you didn't specify when you need it.

you can hire cheap cars from ace rental cars. they have branches in queenstown and christchurch. depending on the time of year they might offer relocation deals if you are only going 1 way

What goes down also goes back up - otherwise all the buses would end up in a big heap in Queenstwon ;-p

Seriously there is Intercity/Newmans and Atomic Shuttles for the straight through/no frills and also Great Sights for a more tourist oriented trip.
