Traveling to SE Asia for ~2 weeks (Indonesia/Malaysia) any recommended itineraries?Country forums / South-East Asia Islands & Peninsula
My wife and I are looking to go to SEA for about 2 weeks in July. We would like split our time between Malaysia and Indonesia. A few places we are hoping to visit aret are Gili Islands, Bali, Singapore, an ethical elephant sanctuary. The rest of the trip is kind of a "fill in the blank". Ive read some posts that say you can easily do a week in each Bali/Singapore alone... Looking for recommendations on must see places, things to do, etc. How many days are adequate to spend in Singapore and Bali? I know this is probably a very broad question, but hoping it'll get us started somewhere.
Gili Islands, Bali and Singapore are more than enough for 2 weeks. No such things as must sees they are subjective. Best to read up on each place to see what you like. Also we have no idea of your interests so very difficult to help. | 1
Yes...you can easily fill 2 weeks with those 3,without needing to add anything else. Eg 3 full days in Singapore, fly to Bali...travel to Gilis....3-4 days there...travel back to Bali...last 4 days there..fly home. That is 2 weeks,done... | 2
...and even with that you will need to pick and choose very carefully what you want to see and do in Bali. There are loads of options on the island. | 3
Instead of Gili maybe Lembongan-Penida. | 4
Your header says Malaysia but no mention of it in the body of your question. | 5
