Travel mates July 20 - 30

Next week I'll be visiting Iceland for the first time. Since I'll be on my own, I was hoping joining some people exploring the island. I already booked two nights (July 20 + 21) at the downtown hostel in Reykjavik, but after that, I don't have a definite plan. I was thinking of renting a car in Reykjavik, preferably spliting the costs, since you'll pay around 700 euros for a week.

A bit about myself: I'm a 27-year-old teacher, living in Belgium. You can call me easygoing and flexible. I don't really care where I lay my head at night, just as long I get some sleep, charging my batteries for the next day.The last big trip I took, was one to India, where I hiked 10 days through the Indian Himalayas. I'm fluent at speaking Dutch, German and English. I also know a fair deal of French and I started studying Russian recently.
