Travel itinerary advice (2 weeks)Country forums / Indian Subcontinent / Sri Lanka
Hello! My boyfriend and I are going to make a two week trip to Sri Lanka from the 27th of april until the 12 of May. We are trying to decide between to different routes that give us some beach time on the last few days. We are in doubt between going to Tangalle or the beaches around Trincomalee. Tangalle seems really nice, but we are not sure about the weather in May and we also heard a lot of great things about the east coast. We aren't surfers, so we don't need the best waves. Now, we planned two routes and wonder which one is best or if there are even better alternatives. We are using public transport. First Route Second route We also want to do one safari. Is it better to go to Udawalawe National Park or Minneriya National Park at that time of the year. Thanks in advance!
best route is 1st route.. but as you going in may 2nd option is better.. because season is finish in south cost by 30th April..so you can't see a good beach there as water is not calm...still you need to do some alternations.. from air port go straight to ella..I know it will be a long one (7) hours may be..but you can save one full day from this..so you dont want to stay kandy twice. (Colombo- kandy-ella -kandy) so 28 Apr -go to ella on your first day.... have a rest..... hope this helps . | 1
