Travel Companion(s) for south India - March

Hey folks,

I'm heading out for a month from Chennai to tour south India, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Anyone interested in a travel companion for some or all of that, give me a buzz. It is always nicer to travel with people.

I'm leaving Chennai on or around March 10th. I'm extremely flexible with itinerary. We can go fast or slow as we like, I've got no set schedule. Probably prefer to spend more time in Kerala than TN right now.

I'm an active person, happy to walk all day and happy with living basic and simply. So I will generally go quite budget with the occassional splurge to treat. Happy with bumpy trains and sketchy buses. backpacker, going as light as I can get away with. Best would be someone likeminded.

I've been living in Chennai for several months, but haven't had much chance to get out yet to see the country. I'm 30 & male and an easy going and resourceful traveller.

Happy to travel with women or men.

If you're passing through Chennai first, I can provide free accommodation (spare room) for a couple days before heading off.

I'm set on the south as I feel I should see some of the areas of people I know here and the area I've made my home. The diverse northern states will have to be another time...

Oh and if anyone has any recommendations on whether I really need anything warmer than a t-shirt and if a rain jacket is really necessary, I'd love to save the space. But my boy scout personality makes it tough to not plan for eventualities... ;-)

What date will you be Southern India until.

I arrive in Bangalore early hours of 27th March, fly out Mumbai on 10th April. Planning on a day in Mysore (maybe), a few days in Kerala, Hampi, and chill out in Goa or Gokarna for a few days before heading upto Mumbai.

If any of this could fit in with your itinery then send me a pm. This goes for anyone who reads this and maybe looking for a travel partner.
