Travel cards

Country forums / Central Asia

Hello,

I am setting off soon on a trip to Vietnam and Bali. I was wondering what my best option is for a travel debit card, preferably one with low or zero cost for withdrawal fees?

Thanks so much in advance,

Will

I have been recommended Caxton... is this any good?

I'm not sure about the best one for withdrawals I'm afraid, but if you will be in areas that accept card, I can highly recommend the Halifax Clarity credit card. It offers no foreign transaction fees and extremely competitive exchange rates. Also, if lost, credit cards are slightly more secure. Have fun!

I personally use the Halifax Clarity for zero worldwide payments and zero cross-border and ATM fees. You need internet banking though to keep your ATM withdrawal fees at zero.
Look here for a thorough review of UK cards.

Thank you very much, I will look into it!

Hmmm - why did you post in Central Asia - you're not going anywhere near Central Asia! Re your question - it's impossible advise not knowing your country - but for New Zealander's I recently reviewed options http://listraveltips.com/best-currency-card-for-travel/
