trans-siberian tickets

Hi, we are due to trave from Perm to Irkutsk tomorrow evening but have realised our train is due to leave before an important rugby match kicks off. Does anyone know if it possible to buy an earlier train from Perm to Yekaterinburg and then get on our original train from yekaterinburg to Irkutsk or would this void our original ticket.

You should be able to change your tickets to depart earlier but you might have to pay a fee depending upon the number and thus the cost of the earlier train from Perm to Yekaterinburg.

We don't want to book the train for a different time but want to get on the same train at a later stop. Is this possible

No, this is impossible, your berth will be sold out three hours after the train departs from the original station.
