Trains and cars

Hi Everyone,
We are a couple who have tried to reserve seats on the train from Colombo to Elle (Ella) only to be told by our travel agent that none are available.We have been told it is possible to get second class tickets on the day, in our case 3rd February. Is that the case and how likely are we to get tickets and indeed seats? Theother alternative seems to be to travel by car.Does anyone know how much that would cost and have you any recommendations for reliable drivers?
Also we will need to hire a car and driver to go from Elle to Missa.Again, can anyone recommend someone reliable in Ella for this journey.
