Time of sunrise at MP about June 12th?Country forums / South America / Peru
Hello all, | ||
Hi, | 1 | |
Thanks Frank. That sounds like my 6.50 arrival might be cutting it a bit fine though. Hmmmm. Any more comments from anyone? | 2
Here. You need to know the longitude and latitude but that should be easy to find. Also has twilight times..important around the equator, and moon phases if a crystal waver. | 3
I went to MP on the shortest day of the year. The Inyihuatana and the Temple of the Sun torreon are supposed vantage points to see the sun rise between two sacred peaks. However, the valley was filled with fog/clouds, which finally cleared around noon, allowing for a climb up Wayna Picchu for the great views! | 4
www.phoenixperutours.com</a> -we went with these guys and got there in time to see the sunrise.absolutely awesome!! | 5
Your company will be limited on the time they can reach the sungate, simply because the trail from the final camp site is not open until 5am. Most groups try to be first in line so they can get through and be at the sun gate for sunrise. This means you could be getting up very early in order to beat the line, and then standing around for 30 minutes while you wait for the trail to be opened. | 6
and then it might be cloudy and you won't see sunrise anyway! It is often cloudy at machu picchu... | 7
