Tibet is opened now

Hi travelers 2012,

Good news, Tibet is opened to foreign travelers, we just got our first group permits. Though there are some restrictions on groups consist with multiple nationalities. But generally it is opened now. Foreign travelers are able to entry Tibet start from April 1st. Hope you all enjoy Tibet.

If your group formed up by more than two different nationalities( for example: a group of two people, one from UK and one from US). Your permits may denied at tis moment or at least cause big problem to obtain.

That would mean a lot of groups... the majority no? Seems Tibet is still not really open.

How is the situation there anyway? If we can get an unbiased report?

Not quite sure how you are interpreting it that way as plenty of foreign travelers are preparing to go to Lhasa in the coming days. The regulation of everyone being of the same nationality is not something new and normally does not last for long. It usually lasts for a short season when the TAR reopens after a closure.
