Thailand in MayCountry forums / Thailand / Thailand
Hello everyone, I was planning to spend 2 weeks in Thailand between the 10th and the 25th of May. I read a bit everywhere that it´s the beginning of the rainy season. I would like to ask you if you have any suggestions, if it is in any case worth it and possible to visit or if it get difficult to move around and so on. Rain is ok (even if we are not talking about European rain), but storms scare me! Thank you for helping!
I will there during the same period and was wondering the same thing. | 1
It is not the whole country and it is not normally so bad, the west coast is the place that will be affected so boats to some of the islands on that side could have issues. Aside from that in the main it will be fine. | 2
One of the hottest months. | 3
Book away you have nothing to worry about. Mid May rains in much of the country will be in their infancy with showers of 20 minutes typical and the beauty of rains in majority of the tropics is you can see the dark clouds looming so duck inside for a refreshment and by the time you have finished the rains will have stopped and the air will be so much cleaner. Another positive about your timing s the filthy smog which covers vast majority of northern Thailand for 3 months each year will have lifted so you are free to enjoy the entire country. Enjoy Thailand. | 4
