Thai Pongal Sri Lanka 2017

Read that the Hindu Pongal activities are held from january 13th till 16th, with Tamil Thai Pongal as main date on january 14th. Is is possible to see/visit these activities? If yes, would in/around Jaffna be the best area to watch (I was thinking about going there anyway) or are other places better? Other recommendations about this event?

yeah sure.. you can also watch that evens in eastern sites of the island.. eg. Batticola. where the Tamils are dense populated.
