There is a public bus service that stops at Baramke and to Harasta Pulman terminal.from there you can take a yellow taxi to where you want to go.Taxi touts at those locations usually look for strangers and over charge them they try to fix pricing amongst them enjoy Syria

If you found accommodation in the area around Baramke, or near the Hedjaz station or main Post Office, and if your orientatation capacities are good, I would suggest to use the airport bus to Baramke ( this bus station is now only served by the airport buses, all other services have moved from there ! ) and walk from there to your hotel - especially when arriving there at day time. E.g. walking to Sultan, Afamia or Orient Palace hotels takes some 10 minutes.
